The Coop, formerly known as A Crowded Coop, is a production company based in the United States that focuses on pop culture merchandising. In 2021, their company website went down, only accessible through web archives. Due to this as well as their silence on social media outlets, it seems the company may have unfortunately closed down.
The company has produced a varied collection of Destiny merchandise, popularly including their line of vinyl Ghost replicas, as well as their Destiny Microplush series. However, they have also made numerous general items such as keychains, kitchenware, bags, and more. This even includes the Frontier Bag included in the Destiny 2 Collector's Edition.
The vinyl Ghost series by The Coop started in 2018 and ran for a year to 2019. The line featured vinyl replicas of Ghost Shells as seen in Destiny 2 fasted to display stands.
The main set of Ghost vinyl fall very closely in line with the scale of the Frontier Shell Ghost Replica as seen in the Destiny Ghost Edition, and they retailed for $14.99 USD. The brief set of mini-scale Ghost vinyl were much smaller in scale than those of the main series, and sold for $7.99 USD at retailers.
Many of these shells were sold in numerous places, such as Gamestop, Target, and the Bungie Store.
The Microplush line consisted of Destiny inspired collectible plush figures that were small in scale and highly detailed. Only one series was ever made, and it spanned ten characters. The set was released in 2017, emplying a blind box format on store shelves. The included characters were as follows: Cayde-6, Lord Shaxx, Eris Morn, Xûr, Mara Sov, Atheon, Time's Conflux, Oryx, the Taken King, Omnigul, Will of Crota, Phogoth, the Untamed, and Skolas, Kell of Kells. They were packed in cases of twelve individual boxes, therefore most of them were advertised as having a 1/12 pull chance. The additional two spots were filled by an extra Atheon and Skolas each, making them the sole characters with a 2/12 pull chance.
These plush varied in height and overall mass, but generally landed at the 5" mark in height. They were sold individually for $7.99 USD.
