Palladium is a brand which produces premium footwear, with a focus on boots. Established in 1947 and based in Lyon, France,[1] the brand began its collaborative journey with Bungie and Destiny in 2019 with the release of the Palladium x Shadowkeep collection. Since then, the brand has frequently produced Destiny-themed merchandise, spanning three unique collections, as well as a one-off release celebrating Bungie's 30th anniversary. As of early 2025, there have been no announcements for new Destiny product by Palladium since 2022.

Palladium's first foray into the world of Destiny culminated in the Palladium x Shadowkeep collection, comprised of the Pampa Baggy Moon and Pampa Baggy Taikonaut boots. The collaboration was initially teased by Palladium on October 7, 2019, showing a snippet of the Pampa Baggy Moon boots and announcing that preorders would be coming soon.[2] This would be followed up by a post on Twitter by the Bungie Store unveiling the boot and announcing that preorders would be available in advance on the Bungie Store on October 11th at 10 AM PDT, on both the US and EU sites.[3] Preorders would sell out only hours after the drop, as the Bungie Store pointed wanting fans to Palladium's own drops, which were broken up by region.[4] US fans would be able to put their preorders in on Palladium's website on October 15th at 11 AM PDT[5]—which also sold out within a day[6]—while EU fans would have to wait until October 30th at 10AM UDT.[7] As is apparent, the collection was hugely successful, seeing a final restock in EU regions on March 30, 2020.[8]

A sequel collection would debut the following year, first teased on November 5, 2020 by both Palladium and Bungie Store.[9] The Palladium x Beyond Light collection launched on November 9, 2020,[10] featuring the Pampa Europa Tactical and the Pampa Sub Zero boots.[11]

2022 would see multiple releases, beginning with the Pampa Sport Cuff Anniversary boots, as were announced on December 7, 2021 alongside the release of the Bungie 30th Anniversary Pack.[12] These boots are the only entry in Palladium's collection to have an in-game counterpart, as they are seen on the Titan's Ringwalker Boots, as introduced in the aforementioned content pack.[13] They eventually released on February 15, 2022, available for preorder at Palladium and the Bungie Store.[14] A collection was also produced for The Witch Queen, spanning three Pallashock colorways and two Pampa colorways. The first of these to be announced was the khaki Pallashock boot, which was exclusively available through the Bungie Rewards program, as was first seen on the Bungie Store on February 21, 2022. The complete collection debuted on September 13th, which saw wide releases of the remaining Pallashock boots as well as the Pampa boots, which each included black and beige colorways.[15]

This boot takes on more of a generalist, nostalgic look in its brown color scheme with sparse bright orange highlights and meager design flair. In this effort, its Destiny-adjacent details are subdued, as it features the Guardian insignia and the Tricorn embroidered on the lateral and medial sides respectively in a zoomed in format. Despite this, the rubber Tricorn badge remains, as had become tradition at this point in the collaboration. The heel stop also displays the Seventh Column in the aforementioned bright orange color. The tongue features the typical tag displaying the Palladium x Destiny logo, this time in transparent plastic, with a fabric tag halfway under it displaying the Bungie logo.
The body of the shoe is waterproof, made with nubuck. The top quarters are made of quilted polyester, and feature embroidery as mentioned. The tongue is polyester as well, but the top inner side is made of a 70/30 repreve/polyester blend.[27] This blend is also used in the sockliner, covering the die cut EVA foam constructing the inner walls of the shoe. The top liner is only polyester, while the bottom of the shoe is built of the typical EVA and rubber combo. As mentioned, the patch featured on the lateral side is also rubber, while the tag on the tongue is made of TPU plastic.[27]
The boots were available in US unisex sizes three and a half through fourteen, with half sizes up to eleven and a half.[27]
