Lightfall is the seventh released expansion to Destiny 2, releasing on February 22, 2022.[1] It is the third part in a tetralogy of expansions to Destiny 2, which comprises Destiny's Age of Darkness and will complete the franchise's first saga, the Light and Dark Saga.
The expansion takes place in the city of Neomuna on the planet Neptune, which hosts a fringe group of humanity that has developed in secret. The Witness, in command of Calus and his new Shadow Legion, besieges the city with unknown intent. The Guardian will work together with Nimbus, one of two Cloud Striders—the defenders of Neomuna—to fight back against the threat. Amidst this, the Guardian will discover and be the first to wield the power of Strand, an aspect of Darkness alongside Stasis.[1]
