The Holiday Edition Ghost is a chrome silver Ghost replica produced by Idea Planet in 2014 and gifted exclusively to employees of Bungie and Activision in celebration of the launch of Destiny.[1]
The replica is based on the titular Ghost replica of the Destiny Ghost Edition, which was also made by Idea Planet, albeit with all the electronics removed.[1] In lieu of this, the Ghost's eye features a highly reflective layer which gives the appearance of a light up effect. Unlike the original, this piece includes a display stand, also done in chrome silver. The Ghost mounts to the display stand in an offset manner, with text occupying the remaining space. On one side is displayed Destiny's release date, the Tricorn, as well as text reading "BIGGEST NEW VIDEO GAME FRANCHISE LAUNCH IN HISTORY." The other side of the display stand simply features the Destiny logo.
The replica is packaged in a black box with a telescoping lid which reads either "HOLIDAY EDITION GHOST" or "LAUNCH EDITION GHOST" below the Destiny logo, all in a metallic silver print.[2]
