Funko // Pop!

Pop! is a prevalent line of collectible stylized vinyl figures produced by Funko. Destiny representation in Pop! began in 2017 as part of the Pop! Games subline, where it saw two full waves released before going dormant for many years until a new Destiny Pop! figure released in February 2024.

The first wave of figures was announced on May 15, 2017 on Funko's official blog,[1] spanning eight unique characters from Destiny and The Taken King and one chase variant. The second wave was announced on January 18, 2018,[2] although one was held back as a San Diego Comic Con exclusive, which itself was revealed on June 18, 2018.[3] This collection of figures would include a total of ten figures, two of which being recolors of existing figures.

The Pop! Destiny series went silent after the second wave. This is commonly cited to be due to Bungie parting ways with Activision, which was Bungie's partner in publishing the franchise.[4] It is apparent that Bungie became more selective with giving out merchandising licenses after this point, as many other Destiny product lines ceased at this time as well. However, over five years after the separation occurred, a new Destiny Pop! figure was teased and promptly released in February 2024, that being a new Cayde-6 figure exclusive to the Bungie Store.[5]

Cayde-6 Pop!

  • Cayde-6
    • Release: February 20, 2024 (Bungie Store Exclusive)
    • MSRP: $15.00 USD
    • Emblem: "My Serious Face"
The newest Cayde-6 Pop! figure was both teased and released on February 20, 2024 exclusively on the Bungie Store.[6] This release is significant as it is the first collaborative Destiny product made with Funko in nearly six years. The figure itself represents Cayde-6 igniting in flames as he casts Golden Gun, and features glow in the dark paint on its eyes. This product is made in commemoration of Cayde's return in The Final Shape.
This figure includes an exclusive Emblem titled "My Serious Face," codes for which are fulfilled as of April 9, 2024.[6]

Trivia[]

  • In an apparent error, the Pop! Atheon and Pop! Crota are both designated with the same number, 241. This appears on production boxes as well as the digital glam shots.
  • The Pop! Sweeper Bot has two "sticker variants". This means that there exist two variants of the release that are the exact same, the only difference being the sticker declaring the figures exclusivity. One of these variants states "SDCC 2018 Exclusive", and another states "Summer Convention Exclusive".
