Bungie Employee Exclusive Items are various items gifted by Bungie to its employees in commemoration of various occasions. This is a frequent exercise within Bungie, as seen in the wooden swords given to the newest Bungie recruits, all the way up to the one of a kind replicas given to veterans after a landmark anniversary of working at the studio. There are also various items given out as new games or other minor content drops are shipped.

The Anniversary Shield is a magnetic, wall mounted shield gifted to Bungie Employees to commemorate the recipient's fifth anniversary.[1] The shield features some ornate sculpted detail, and includes a hexagonal pattern atop the Bungie icon. As mentioned, the shield is magnetic so as to accommodate various medals and tokens that are made to be housed on the shield. Larger, circular medals are gifted on five year intervals, while small hexagonal tokens are also distributed to employees that worked on a given release, including new title launches, DLC expansions, and seasonal content drops.
The shields seem to have been initially given out on December 15, 2018,[2] with each employee's respective magnets included retroactively—going back as far as Operation: Desert Storm,[1] one of Bungie's earliest games, released in 1991.[3] After this point, magnets would be distributed accordingly as games were released, even if an employee is not yet tenured enough to receive an anniversary shield.

2016 Ornament 1

2016 ornament

  • Holiday Ornaments
An annual tradition at Bungie is the gifting of holiday ornaments themed after the studio and its games. Traced back as early as 2012, year over year a custom designed ornament is distributed throughout the ranks of the studio, typically accompanied by a box or card. The vast majority of these ornaments are Destiny-themed, usually related to the annual expansion that released in a given year. This practice held until 2022, upon which the ornaments adopted more of a generic Bungie theme, most likely due to the studio's push to develop new games outside of Destiny 2.
The ornaments are typically made with metal, sometimes with an enamel filling, such as the 2017, 2018, 2020, 2022, and 2023 ornaments. The 2013, 2014, 2016, and 2019 ornaments are purely metal, while the 2012 and 2021 ornaments are made of wood. The ornaments also typically include a quote on the reverse side, again, usually related to the accompanying expansion of the given year. All but the 2021 ornament also include loops for hanging purposes.

    Haunted Patch

    Season of the Haunted patch

    • Seasonal Release Patches
Seasonal release patches are gifted to Bungie employees upon the release of a Season or an Episode in Destiny 2. By all outside observation, it seems this tradition began with the release of Season of the Haunted; and will ostensibly cease with Episode: Heresy, as that will be the final seasonal content release in Destiny 2 for the foreseeable future. Each patch is hexagonal in shape, with the dimensions of 2" x 1.75" (5.1cm x 4.5cm). They also include a hook and loop backing which can be removed in order to affix the patch to compatible surfaces.
Design-wise, the patches are two-toned, and display the icon of the related Season or Episode.
